After her stole people’s hearts as Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga and wooed viewers as Taylor Swift’s love interest in Valentine’s Day, Taylor Lautner kindasorta disappeared. Yes, he starred in Abduction and Tracers but…those flopped didn’t really go anywhere.
Maybe Taylor’s fall from Hollywood’s hottest has something to do with the fact that he’s been very selective with his post-Twilight roles. We’re not saying this is a bad thing, we’re simply stating a fact — T.Laut is super picky! Don’t believe us? Click through the gallery below to see all the big movie roles the 23-year-old actor almost filled:
Hank McCoy, X-Men: First Class
The Twilight star was deep in X-Men: First Class' casting process when scheduling conflicts forced him to drop out. Bryan Singer, one of the film's producers, said, "I wanted Taylor to do it, I really did, [but] he’s doing a movie in Pittsburgh called Abduction and then he’s got the next Twilight movie...It just doesn’t look like it’s possible to do it.”

Billy the Kid, The Expendables 2
According to Hollywood Life, Taylor was offered Liam Hemsworth's role in The Expendables 2 but passed on it.

Max McGrath, Max Steel
In early 2010, Vulture reported that Taylor dropped out of Max Steel (which he had previously signed on to do) in order to focus on a Stretch Armstrong movie. Ben Winchell was eventually cast as the lead.

Unknown Character, Stretch Armstrong
In theory, Taylor's decision to turn down Max Steel for Stretch Armstrong made sense -- it was a favorite action figure for almost 20 years! But after years of trying to turn the character into a motion picture star, it got dropped by Relativity Media.

Jack, Burlesque
Taylor was just one of the Twilight stars who was considered to play Jack in the Cher-starring film. Robert Pattinson and Kellan Lutz were also in the running, but Cam Gigandet (who played James in Twilight) got the part.

Unknown Character, Northern Lights
Even though he apparently got offered $7.5 million to star in Skydance's Northern Lights, Deadline reported that Taylor turned down the offer and "respectfully parted ways [with the film] over casting issues." After Tay dropped out, Liam Hemsworth apparently got picked up, but the film never ended up being made.
