Twilight fans, beware! Looks like the end of the franchise will
not go exactly as it is portrayed in
Stephenie Meyer‘s original series. On
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jay asks star
Taylor Lautner about the last few minutes of
Breaking Dawn — Part 2, saying: “[T]here’s a twist, because the ending — I don’t wanna give anything away — is a little different from, maybe, what was in the book?” Taylor follows along, treading softly, admitting: ”You know, there’s a very thin line because the fans would freak on us if we changed anything too much… I can confirm there is a twist and I can confirm everybody can find out what it is on November 16.”
Further proof of said “twist” was confirmed during today’s BDP2 press conference (which you can still follow on ClevverTV’s live blog), as Jackson Rathbone tells reporters, ”The last 20 minutes of the film are going to be really, really exciting for fans.” Meyer herself speaks of the ending to reporters, spilling: ”I wouldn’t call it an alternate ending… It does feel very surprising. It doesn’t feel like it’s going hugely off the page.” Interesting…
